Army Gideon is one of Reggae music’s best kept secret. They are an all original Roots Rock Reggae band with one of the most electrifying live shows in music to date. The band seamlessly blends genre influences while maintaining its core roots sound and delivering it mostly in a Jamaican patois. Army Gideon’s lyrics cry out for one love, Rastafari ‘livety’, equal rights and justice on earth over heavy bass lines, gritty guitar solos, catchy vocal melodies and even at times violin virtuosity.

Formed circa 2012 in Broward County Florida, this authentically and predominantly Jamaican cast of members have managed to release a full length studio album entitled ‘Forsake Not’ (2018), collab with Reggae genre giants such as Akae Beka (formally Midnite) in their collab single ‘Humanity’ (2024) and are currently promoting their latest single ‘Flash Ya Natty’(2024), as they gear up to release another full length studio album.

Their live performance is absolutely incredible to say the least. As front man Ras Anbesa Tafari leads the charge with his highly energetic stage presence, immensely impressive instrumental genius and vocal grandeur, the band continues to leave
on lookers in jaw dropping awe of their musical capabilities.
